Fall is here and you know what that means...baking!!! My true bakers know that using the oven in the summer is a hassle, which is why cool weather calls for baking as much as you can! Particularly for my Banana Bundt Cake with Brown Sugar Glaze recipe since it will be baking in the oven longer than it takes to prepare it. So, why don't we open some windows, invite the chilly air in, and get started!
This Banana Bundt Cake is moist, thick, soft, and everything you could ever wish in a Bundt cake. The Brown Sugar Glaze adds a hint of sweetness but at the same time not too overwhelming. It's love in the shape of a cake.
The ingredients which make this cake an addictive bite...
- Flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Butter
- Sugar
- Vanilla
- Eggs
- Bananas
- Sour cream
Brown Sugar Glaze...
Let's chat about the beautiful and tasty Brown Sugar Glaze which ties the knot in this recipe. It is very much optional but in my opinion, very much necessary. It takes about 3 minutes to make and it gives the cake an extra wow. It gently drips down the sides, adding an extra sweetness in every bite. It firms up pretty quickly so make sure you garnish it with walnuts asap!
Tip: I protected my bananas all week before I made this cake just so they had time to ripen. Ripe or "bruised" bananas are in their prime time for baking, so if you have extremely ripe bananas ready to be thrown away use them for this recipe!
