Are you ever about to snuggle up in your warmest, fuzziest blanket and binge-watch your favorite show on Netflix that just released an entirely new season, then all of a sudden the cravings hit and you realize that something is missing? That your lazy Sunday is striving for this one and only thing? So, you open the freezer in search of the carton of Ben & Jerry's Half Baked Ice Cream but what happens next takes your breath away and is on the peak of tarnishing your entire day. You blink a couple times, shut your eyes, rub them until white dots appear, then open them up apprehensively, but your eyes are not lying to you. Your heart sinks, your breath deepens, and your hands shake. You scream, "THERE'S NO MORE ICE CREAM?????!!!!!!"
But don't worry, I think we all can say we have been there. I know I have. So, I'm here to save you and your lazy Sunday.
What if I told you I made an ice cream recipe that requires ONLY 2 ingredients, takes 5 minutes, and is pretty healthy? Welllllll, I did :)
Healthy "Nice" Cream...
Yup, your hearing this right. This recipe only requires frozen bananas and cocoa powder. No sugary processed ice cream here!
Five-Minute Ice Cream...
To make this a quick and easy process, you will want to have your bananas already peeled, chopped, and frozen, so all you have to do is toss them into a reliable blender along with the cocoa powder.
Base & Toppings...
The two required ingredients which will make up the base of the "nice" ice cream are...
- Frozen Bananas
- Cocoa Powder
- Homemade Chocolate Sauce- a mixture of coconut oil (just heat it in the microwave for about 10 seconds so it turns to liquid), maple syrup, and cocoa powder
- White Chocolate Chips
- Walnuts
So refreshing on a 90-degree day! This Chocolate Banana Ice Cream is similar to an Açaí bowl.
