Banana Nut Waffles

Waffles, pancakes, or french toast? I remember being in school fighting over which food is the BEST for breakfast. I chose waffles every. single. time. My answer would cause an eruption of disagreement and shouting across the lunch table but waffles will always be the superior breakfast food. Sorry (not really) :)

Now don't get me wrong warm chocolate chip pancakes and french toast drowned in syrup is absolutely delicious but waffles have this textured pattern from the hot waffle iron that gives them more points than pancakes and french toast combined. *GASP* Shhh, because you know you love when there's a pool of syrup in every square of the waffle too.

Why these waffles will make your morning and your day...

Even if you're not a huge waffle fan I urge you to try these Banana Nut Waffles!
  • Banana + Nuts= the most iconic and delicious combo ever invented next to chocolate and banana of course!
  • Not many ingredients required
  • Save some as leftovers for the next morning
  • Pretty healthy
  • For our pancake lovers: you can most definitely make these into pancakes, you're welcome ;)

Ingredients & Toppings...
  • Bananas- Makes these waffles melt-in-your-mouth creamy!!!
  • Walnuts- Suprise crunch in every bite! Walnuts taste amazing in this recipe but feel free to use any other type of nut or even chocolate chips! Yummm!
  • Flour- You can either use all-purpose flour, white whole wheat flour, or regular whole wheat flour
  • Sugar- Sugar, awww, honey, honey... I'll stop now...
  • Baking Powder
  • Sea salt-More flavorful than table salt
  • Nutmeg- A little kick of spice
  • Coconut Oil- Makes these waffles soft
  • Milk- Use any type of milk you want
  • Egg- Fluffiness
  • Vanilla- Sweetness

Personally, whenever I make waffles of pancakes, I ALWAYS bring out all the toppings...
  • Banana slices
  • More nuts
  • Syrup
  • Butter
  • Honey
  • Chocolate chips
  • White Chocolate chips
  • Ice cream- I know you may be making a puzzled face right now, but trust me ice cream on a waffle is life-changing
  • Peanut Butter
  • Rolled-Oats

Leftovers?...

If you have leftover waffles, which I doubt, store them in the refrigerator or freezer and pop them in the toaster, microwave, or oven until warm and crispy whenever your craving some more!

Creamy banana and crunchy walnut bite after bite!!!
